I stood amidst the chaos, watching as Sharon defiantly held her ground beside the broken figure of the Rogue King. His once–powerful form now slumped in submission, his fur matted with blood, each of his breaths rattling with pain. Kayden and Francis barely managed to stay on their feet, their bodies battered, scarred by battle. Yet, none of that prepared us for the betrayal that followed.
“Sharon…?” Kayden‘ s voice cracked, strained with disbelief and a kind of hurt that went straight to my heart. “What are you doing with him?”
A cruel smirk twisted Sharon’s lips, a stark contrast to her usual innocent gaze. There was nothing innocent about her now. “Oh, Kayden,” she sneered, her eyes glinting coldly. “I thought you‘ d know by now. I never belonged to you. Or to the Shadow Pack.” She lifted her chin,

her gaze sweeping over me and the others with disdain. “I’m exactly where I belong–with my father.”
Father? The word echoed in my mind,
disbelief pounding in my chest.
Francis‘ s voice was barely more than a whisper, his face pale. “The Rogue King… he’s your father?”
Sharon’s laughter cracked through the air, sharp and unnerving. “Surprised?” She tilted her head, her expression a mix of contempt and satisfaction. “Oh, I loved every second of pretending to be that innocent little omega, letting you all fawn over me like I was something special. It was laughable.”
She turned to her father, pressing a gentle hand to his shoulder. Her voice softened, a tenderness reserved only for him. “Don’t worry. I won’t let them hurt you.”

“You‘ re not going anywhere,” I cut in, my voice sharp and cold as steel. Rage simmered beneath my skin, my Lycan blood seething. I stepped forward, letting Sharon see the fury in my eyes. “So, the real Sharon finally decides to show herself.”
Sharon turned toward me, her gaze blazing with a twisted madness. “You‘ re one to talk, Malinda,” she spat, a feral glint in her eyes. “Always looking down on me, keeping me at arm’s length as if you were better. But look at you now–with your father dead.”

Her lip curled, a snarl echoing from deep within her. “Strength? You want strength? I’ll show you strength.” Dark energy
swirled around her, her wolf emerging- pitch–black, her fur seeming to absorb the very light around her, crackling with a dangerous energy.
Francis’s voice trembled with anger. “So, all this time, you were just–using us?”
“Oh, yes,” Sharon sneered, her tone rich with satisfaction. “Your father’s head, Malinda–I specifically asked for it. Too bad only one of you survived.” She chuckled darkly. “Pity I didn’t kill him myself.”
The world around me blurred, the rage within me shifting, transforming into something wild, something unstoppable. My wolf, ancient and powerful, surged beneath my skin, my body vibrating with fury.

I let the shift take over, bones lengthening, muscles stretching as I transformed. In moments, I towered above her in my Lycan form, my fur thick and bristling with raw power, each heartbeat pulsing with vengeance.
Sharon lunged forward, her wolf as black as night, dark energy swirling like smoke around her. I saw the bloodlust in her eyes, but my focus was unbreakable. She would pay.
Our bodies clashed, a furious storm of teeth and claws, tearing through the clearing with unmatched ferocity. I raked my claws across her side, but the darkness around her cushioned her, healing her in seconds. She lunged again, her teeth aimed at my throat, but I was ready. I sidestepped, driving my claws deep into her shoulder, feeling the sickening crunch of bone beneath my grip. Sharon screeched, the dark energy around her flickering, weakening for a brief moment.
Then, out of the corner of my eye, I saw him–Damon. He was locked in combat with the Rogue King, his movements swift and lethal, each blow landing with ruthless precision. And then, in a single, final
strike, he ended the Rogue King’s life. Blood spattered across the ground as the king crumpled, lifeless.

“No!” Sharon’s voice was a shriek of pure agony, her eyes wide with shock and desperation as she turned to see her father‘ s body lying motionless. Her gaze snapped back to me, blazing with a grief- fueled rage. “You’ll pay for this,” she screamed, her energy erupting like wildfire, crackling dangerously.
She threw herself at me, her strength bolstered by her fury and loss. But I held my ground, feeling my own power intensify as I tapped into the deepest reserves of my bloodline’s strength. Her fury met my resolve, and we clashed once more, the ground trembling beneath our
battle.
“You’ll die alone, just like he did,” Sharon spat, her claws flailing desperately, scratching at me with each bitter word.
“No one here cares about you–Kayden, Francis, even Damon—”
Her words fell on deaf ears. They chose me, Sharon. I would make her understand.

With one powerful strike, I forced her back, my own strength overshadowing her dark power. “You‘ re wrong, Sharon. They chose me. Not you.”
Snarling, she lunged, her dark energy flaring to life one last time. But I met her attack head–on, drawing from my Lycan blood. I took a deep breath, letting the ancient strength of my ancestors surge through me. And with a final, unyielding lunge, I drove my claws into Sharon’s chest, piercing through her defenses, feeling the dark energy sputter and die.
Her eyes went wide, her gaze meeting mine, desperation flickering within her.
“No… no, it can‘ t… end like this,” she gasped, her energy dissipating as her body weakened. She struggled, her breaths fading with each passing second.
“It’s over, Sharon,” I whispered, my voice low and steady, filled with finality. Holding her gaze, I twisted my claws, ending her life in one merciful motion. The
