I exchanged a smirk with Tiffany. So, she knew
how to manipulate public opinion. But against
the truth, her tricks were useless.
I turned to the doctors. “Please, examine her
injury. She’s precious to my brother. If she gets
a scar, Jason and my dad will be heartbroken.”
Tiffany glared at me, but vanity won out. She
wanted her face fixed.
The renowned traditional Chinese medicine
doctor stepped forward. After a brief
examination, he sighed. “Miss Tiffany, the
<
swelling can be treated. But you’re three
months pregnant. Strong medicine isn’t
advisable. I can prescribe something safe for
the baby.”
He calmly took out his pad and started writing.
Everyone else froze.
Tiffany jumped up and slapped the doctor. “You
quack! You’re lying! They paid you to say that! I
had my period last month! I can’t be pregnant!”
The doctor, a respected physician, had never
been so humiliated. He looked at Tiffany, a cold smile on his face. “That wasn’t a period. It was
leftover blood from your last abortion.”
The crowd erupted.
“Is the doctor lying? Did Ashley’s family pay
him off?”
<
“Dr. Zhou would never accept a bribe. No
amount of money would make him compromise
his ethics.”
“So, the real heiress isn’t the wild one. The
fake heiress is the one with multiple abortions!
This is juicy!”
“Tiffany was clinging to Jason earlier. Maybe
the baby is his!”
The crowd speculated, but I knew the baby
wasn’t Jason’s. I’d already tested him with my
words earlier. His reaction confirmed it.
He rushed to Tiffany, grabbing her shoulders, shaking her violently. “Tiffany! What’s going
on? You promised me you were saving yourself
for me! Answer me!”
Tiffany didn’t answer. But my ex–fiancé, Ethan,
did. He punched Jason in the face.
<
“You bastard! We had a deal! You get the
Stone fortune, and I get Tiffany! Why would she
give you her first time?”
The crowd roared with laughter.
“First time? Honey, she’s pregnant!”
“This is hilarious! Rich people drama is better
than a soap opera!”
Ethan’s face burned. He stared at a pale
Tiffany. “Is it true?”
Tiffany cowered, shaking her head frantically.
“No! Ethan, listen to me! Ashley is jealous that
you like me! She paid the doctor to lie! I didn’t
do anything! Don’t believe them!”
She burst into tears. But with her bruised face,
she looked more menacing than pitiful.
<
Ethan looked around and saw Dr. Zhou. The
doctor smirked. “What, young Miller, do you doubt my integrity?”
Dr. Zhou had saved Ethan’s father’s life years
ago. The Millers trusted him implicitly.
Ethan sighed, pushing Tiffany away. He bowed
deeply to my grandma. “Grandma, Ashley and I
had a misunderstanding. It was all Tiffany’s
fault! I see her true colors now. I want the
engagement back! I want to marry Ashley!”
He straightened up and offered me his hand, a
self–satisfied smirk on his face. “I didn’t expect
this drama. Don’t worry, Ashley. I still want to
marry you.”
I slapped him hard. “The engagement is over. If
you like Tiffany, then marry her. A sweet,
generous girl like her is hard to find.”
Г
The crowd roared with laughter again.
Ethan, humiliated, turned red. “Ashley, I’m
offering you a second chance! Tiffany’s
pregnant! Are you so innocent yourself? I’ve
seen your sex tapes! Tiffany showed me!”
My blood ran cold. I’d been faithful throughout
our engagement. What sex tapes?
