Hank’s eyes lit up, thinking he had me fooled.
“I was just trying to get you out of it. I wasn’t
going to let them hurt you.”
Hank looked terrible, but I still remembered
when we first met.
I was in college with Hank, and he was the
best looking man I had ever seen.
One night I was at a hospital when a drunk
man started following me and harassing me
on my way back to school.
L
I was alone and about to give up when Hank
came and saved me.
He fought the drunk man and saved my life.
From that moment on, I loved Hank.
He always said, “You can go anywhere, do
anything. I’ll always be here for you.”
Now he was the one who wanted me dead.
I spent so much time with Hank.
I lost my life because of him.
“I love you Rain! I do. I messed up, but please
forgive me.‘
I stood up and pretended to be mad.
Hank smiled. “Can you feed me? I’m hurt.”
“I only brought the soup. You can eat it
yourself.”
I walked out.
I saw Susie walk into Hank’s room.
I sat closer to the room and listened.
Hank said, “You’re the one who told me to
frame her, and you’re the first one to run. Get
out of my face.”
“I’m sorry. You know that I get nervous, but I
have to get a job too. You can’t forget that.”
Susie replied. “Rain is going to sell
everything, and you’re going to get nothing.”
“You’re right,” Hank said. “Rain is so lucky. If
the cops hadn’t come, she would be dead. I
would get her insurance money.”
Susie said, “I have a plan. Rain won’t be so
lucky next time.”
I heard them kissing.
“You’re so bad. I can’t believe you care about
that now.” Susie giggled.
Hank said, “What do you think I was doing
when I had to leave you in a burning plane
I stood up and walked to the doctor’s office.
“I think the patient in room 6 is in pain, can
you check on them?”
The doctors ran to Hank’s room.
I heard screaming and then Susie ran out of
the room with her shirt torn open.
I went home.
I was relaxing in my room when the doorbell
rang.
I opened the door to see a man with a
package. “Hello. Is this for Rain?”
I looked at his arms and abs and raised my
eyebrow. “I don’t order makeup and my name
is not Rain.”
He apologized and looked at the package.
“My bad.”
“No problem.” I said as I went to close the
door.
The delivery guy stopped me. “Can I use your
bathroom?”
I smirked, thinking about Susie.
“Of course.” I said.
The delivery guy came out of the bathroom
with his shirt off and his body wet. “Sorry, I
wanted to wash my hands but I opened the
wrong faucet…”
I looked at his body. “Are you new? I haven’t
seen you around.”
“Yeah, I’m new. I’m here to deliver everything
<
to your apartment. I am sorry for all this, but
you can call me if you ever need anything.”
I nodded and pulled out my phone. “Can I
have your number?”
When I went to go close the door, I heard him
say, “I got her in 5 minutes” to someone over
the phone.
Before we got married, Hank and I had a
contract.
My parents gave me this house as a wedding
gift.
