I was tired of their yelling. I thought I’d help
them out a little. “Hey, is it possible the
person you made mad was me? And ‘Baker‘ is
Lily’s last name?”
Their faces were priceless.
Tiffany’s dad said, “Please, can you let this
go? I’ll apologize, I’ll kneel.”
I said “I don’t need your apology. Especially
since you said you would make my life
terrible. Besides, you haven’t been bad to me.
You’ve been bad to my little girl. And she
deserves an apology. And we need to do
something about the harm she suffered
today.”

He pushed Tiffany forward, telling her to
apologize. She was so scared, she just kept apologizing. In her little mind, she couldn’t understand why her parents were being so harsh to her. She was crying hard. I didn’t feel anything for her. Her parents had ruined her. She needed to learn a lesson. I can’t just forget what happened. I have to make them
all pay.
I glared at the principal and walked out, with the security guards following. I wanted to get to my daughter and take care of her.
When I got home, I bandaged her up, and soothed her. It wasn’t long before my
husband came home, looking angry. I knew someone was going to suffer.

I told him everything. And I was right, people
would suffer.
The next day, we got Lily up early, and told her we were going on a trip. It didn’t make sense, he had limited time off, and was always on call. But when I saw Lily’s face, I couldn’t say no. It’d be a fun trip.
We didn’t make any plans. We went to see the pandas in Chengdu, the Grand Canyon, and the Terracotta Warriors, and Lily finally got to go to Disney and take pictures with her favorite character, LinaBell.
