I immediately sent a voice message.
Me: “Sarah, are you saying my daughter stole your daughter’s diamond hair clips?”
Sarah: “Isn’t it obvious? My daughter’s are
missing, and now they’re in Lily’s hair!
Everyone can see what’s up.”
Me: “Having the same clips means she stole
them? Is that your evidence?”
Me: “You are talking straight garbage! If you
love accusing people, maybe you should go
be a detective, or a lawyer.”
<
Me: “Take a good look, with your eyes that
aren’t full of sleep, my daughter’s clips were
custom–made for her birthday. They have her
initials on them!”
I put up a close–up picture of Lily’s hair clips
in the chat.
Me: “If you lose something, call the police, not accuse a 5 year old. We’ve all been
through elementary school here, we should
know this stuff!”
She clearly wasn’t expecting me to go on the
offensive. She went silent.
Then another parent tried to smooth things
over.
く
“Sarah, you’re being a little harsh. This is al
civilized chat, and we’re all educated adults
here.”
Me: “Oh, really? You didn’t see anything
wrong with her accusing my daughter of
stealing? Calling a 5–year–old a thief is
civilized?”
Me: “Well, if it happens to your kid, I hope
you can maintain your level of civility.”
Me: “It figures you two would be the same,
one talking garbage and the other trying to
sound all morally superior, and not
acknowledging her garbage.”
Karen’s Mom: “Sarah, what are you talking
about?”
<
Me: “Look closely, those two are using the
same scenic picture as their profile photos.”
Me: “What are the chances? Even if they’re
not married, they’re definitely related. The school specifically said only one parent
should be in the chat, so why are both of you
here?”
Everyone was already annoyed with Tiffany’s mom’s original list of demands, and now this, the group chat went into full outrage mode. The teacher kicked Tiffany’s dad out of the
chat to appease everyone.
