Part 10
As soon as the positions were reversed, I wriggled free of his paws, scrambled off the
bed, grabbed a knife from the nightstand, and
pointed it at him.
“You tricked me, awwwwooo…” he howled, his
voice filled with. The howl was so loud it
startled me.
“Shut up!” I yelled. “Do you want the neighbors
to call the cops?”
He went silent. He just jumped down and lay on
the floor, looking at me with wet eyes, his ears
drooping sadly.
I rubbed my temples. “What is wrong with
you?”
“It’s my mating season,” he mumbled. “During mating season, a wolf needs his mate’s scent to calm down. My head hurts so much… I feel
terrible. I had to come to you.”

I thought for a moment. “So… you and your mate… there’s a… physical connection?” Not just whoever they decide is their mate, but also a scent compatibility thing? Was that it? I looked at the massive wolf lying pathetically on the floor, clearly in distress from his mating season, constantly pawing the ground and whimpering, and considered the significant size difference between us. I couldn’t fight him. I
couldn’t get rid of him.
I sighed and retrieved yesterday’s unwashed
clothes from the balcony, tossing them at him.
“Will this do?”
“Too faint,” he mumbled, rubbing his head on
the clothes. “I have a… strong drive… this isn’t
enough.”
He rolled around on the floor in agony. A
seven–foot–long wolf rolling around and
whimpering on my floor was a disturbing sight.
He rolled into the bathroom and, somehow
instinctively, fished a thin strap out of the
laundry basket next to the bathtub. Attached to
it was a curved…

“What are you doing?!”
I stared in disbelief as he licked my bra with his
paws.
This was too much. Too creepy.
I wanted to grab it back, but I didn’t dare.
provoke a werewolf in this state.
I backed away and ran to the guest room,
locking the door behind me. I sat on the cold
floor, clutching my racing heart, for a long time
before I finally calmed down. I yawned, climbed
into bed, and drifted off to sleep. I was
exhausted. I’d deal with that perverted wolf
tomorrow.
